It’s really regrettable. He was 55 when he passed away. For the country and for all of us, it is a tremendous loss, On November 22 of last year, he was admitted to a private hospital in east Kolkata due to an intracerebral hemorrhage. He was on ventilation support. His condition got worse after he suffered a cerebral attack last month.
A group of neurosurgeons determined that he would receive conservative care. Although he was making a good recovery, after spending so much time in the hospital, he contracted an infection that spread quickly. Early this morning, a ventilator was installed for him. He couldn’t be revived, despite our best efforts,” a senior hospital physician said.
Mamata Banerjee, the chief minister of West Bengal, said, “This is a great loss for the entire country and the entire music fraternity,” expressing her profound sorrow at the news. I am still trying to come to deal with Rashid Khan’s death, so that’s because I’m in so much pain. She went to the hospital and stood by the late singer’s relatives.
