The sculpture was made by famous sculptor Arun Yogiraj
Born in 1983, Arun Yogiraj is a Mysuru-based Indian sculptor. Before Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose’s 125th birthday, he carved the 30-foot statue of him[1], which was placed in the canopy behind the Amar Jawan Jyoti at the India Gate[2] in New Delhi. His idol of Ram Lalla, the younger incarnation of the Hindu god Rama, is also placed in the Ram Temple in Ayodhya.
A few of his other creations are a twelve-foot-tall 3-D statue of Adi Shankaracharya located in Kedarnath, a twenty-one-foot-tall Hanuman statue located in Chunchanakatte, Mysore district, a fifteen-foot-tall sculpture of BR Ambedkar in Mysuru, which was dedicated by the state’s chief minister, Siddaramaiah, in 2018, a six-foot-tall monolithic statue of Nandi, and a six-foot-tall statue of Banashankari Devi.
