The tweet proved to be the first of a lengthy sequence of attacks that occurred throughout the day, thus it was not an isolated incident

Lupe described his emotions and their origins in a series of tweets. Initially, he stated that he wanted to beat up Cudi, which surprised some followers but amused others.
